At the end of 2017, we developed a digital influencer campaign for the Sparkasse finance portal. The aim of the month-long campaign was to generate 15,000 transactions within the paydirekt service - the online payment tool for German banks. A selection of 18 influencers, including DerHardi, Katharina Damm, ESKAY and Tisi Schubech, received a product of the influencer's choice via our partner Rakuten.de to promote via the influencers social media channels (Facebook / Instagram / YouTube / blogs). For their communities they had a special message: any fans making a purchase via rakuten.de and paying via paydirekt receive a 10% discount on their purchase! On top of that, everyone who posted a selfie of themselves and their chosen product using the #goenndirdirekt hashtag entered a draw to win a Samsung UHD SmartTV, to be delivered personally by influencer DerHardi! Even with minimal preparation time of one week, a professional standard video and photo team delivered a suitable visual setting for the campaign: DerHardi treats himself to a day at the spa. Of course, complete with red Sparkasse-bathrobe and his favorite products from rakuten.de. Even in the usually heavily competitive time just before Christmas, the campaign generated over 23,000 transactions and thus more than exceeded the campaign targets, achieving a total reach of nearly 8 million people.
